Pontotoc Tech Cosmetology students excelled at district competition in Ardmore this week. The students showcased their expertise in various categories, bringing home some truly remarkable results, including 14 students placing in the top 10 across six categories and 10 of those students earning top 5 finishes in five categories. Additionally, four students have advanced to state competition - congratulations, Hannah Cornelius, Sophie Eldred, Alysia Carter, and Gunner Stone!

Cosmetology instructors Stacy Dyer and Barbara Andrews expressed immense pride in their students’ accomplishments, emphasizing their dedication and growth throughout the competition.

“These students have worked incredibly hard, pushing past their comfort zones and challenging themselves to reach new levels of excellence,” said Stacy Dyer. “I couldn’t be more proud of their determination and the way they represented our program and Pontotoc Tech.”

Barbara Andrews echoed this sentiment, highlighting the bright future ahead for the students. “This is just the beginning. The effort and passion these students have put into their craft is inspiring, and we are so excited about what’s to come in the future.”

With the state competition coming up, our students will have an even bigger stage to show off their hard work, talent, and creativity!
